Why study history??

In no special order:
If we did not learn from the past, then we would make the same mistakes in the future.

Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it.

History is the story of how we became who we are now.

Everything happening today in the world is a piece of a long line of events.

The more you know about the past, the more ready you will be for the future.

History helps explain how we got to where we are today.

By examining the struggles, successes,  and failures of our ancestors, we learn how to examine ourselves and move forward.
